The Portuguese-American Post-graduate Society is an independent, non-profit organization, with no political affiliations. Its objectives are to stimulate the development of strong relationships between the Portuguese postgraduate community living in North America and the American society while, simultaneously, promoting their home country. Since 2006 PAPS has published a monthly newsletter with information about and for its members.

Lately this has been expanded to include feature stories about a range of subjects, from entrepreneurship to non-profit associations or where the Portuguese community is striving to make a positive mark in the world. Furthermore, the newsletter is complemented with information about career opportunities, awards and other events organized by PAPS.
